How to Bold and Italicize Text

Want to inject some spice to text on Urban Archive? You're in luck! Urban Archive uses Markdown, a simple plain text formatting system that'll help you make your sentences stand out. Just add a few characters before and after your desired text to add bold or italics.

Bold and Italics

To format your text, you’ll need to follow the markdown format. Here’s a guide to the syntax you’ll want to use:

Italics: _text_

Bold: **text**

Once you press publish or exit edit mode in the edit window, the text will appear as bold of italicized.

NOTE: You can only bold or italicize text in the body field of a post, story, of organizational profile page. You cannot format text in the title field of a story or in the push notification field of a post.
