Urban Archive Analytics & Metrics
At Urban Archive, content and engagement come in various forms. Here’s how we define and report on these terms to share with our partners.
DEFINING CONTENT
Content refers to the information and digital assets hosted, expressed, and published on our platform. This includes:
Stories - a curated collection of digital assets created on Urban Archive
Story item - a digital asset that is included as stops in a story and viewed within that story.
Location item - an item that is anchored at a location on Urban Archive and viewed at that specific location
Profile page - a site that anchors curated content from our partner organizations
Posts - a block of text added to an image that provides information/context beyond a metadata caption
Content count is the aggregate total of the content available on Urban Archive.
understanding engagement
To examine and measure content engagement on Urban Archive, we report two key-metrics:
Reach - the number of unique users that engaged with content on Urban Archive, totaling unique users on iOS and web platforms.
Impressions - the total number of times that content has been viewed on Urban Archive.
Reach shows us how many users are finding their way to Urban Archive whereas impressions offer insight into the depth of user engagement with content. While similar, impressions are often higher than reach, and increase as individual users engage with more content on Urban Archive.
Trending Content selects the highest performing content based on impressions. This can include stories, images, sites, or posts.
