Increase the Visibility of Your Collections
Updated December 18th, 2019
You can use our platform to shine a light on your collections, new and old. Our content tools help you tell the story behind a collection in a meaningful way, showcasing the photographs we all adore.
Collection-Specific Posts
Posts can serve as an expansion of the metadata of a photograph, or they can share contextual evidence about an image.
For example, this post includes information about the subject photographed, Hoffman Island, while also including information about photographer Alice Austen and her relationship to the Island. This post specifies both the location and the events that surround the photo, highlighting the collection it comes from.
Collection-Specific Stories
Stories can be thought of as photo-essays and can provide narration for collection by showcasing a selection of images. Stories can even highlight the photographer alone, using their photographs as visual cues to their biography.
For example, this Story exhibits James Reuel Smith’s research of a disappearing aspect of New York’s “vanishing pastoral life--its springs and wells.”
Sharing
Both Posts and Stories can be shared on any social media platform. See this guide for how to share.
